The Product Fact Sheet PRODUCT: The Dryerbox, the original recessed dryer vent box, which saves space, conserves energy and reduces the common fire hazard DESCRIPTION: The Dryerbox was invented and patented in the United States and was introduced to the market in 1995. The Dryerbox is a simple metal receptacle that installs in the wall behind the dryer to house and collect the flex duct hose, which connects to the wall exhaust pipe. The Dryerbox eliminates kinks or bends in the transition hose and allows the dryer to be pushed closer to the wall, thereby allowing for more usable space in the laundry room and minimizing the fire danger. The Dryerbox is made of heavy, 22-gauge, aluminized, steel-molded construction and installs between the studs before the drywall in new construction. A Retro-Fit model is also available for existing homes.
